Last year’s 93rd annual Bud Billiken Parade and Festival was a joyous celebration that brought together the City of Chicago in a glorious display of love and peace. The vibrant parade, held on King Drive, featured nearly 200 talented participants from the Bud Billiken Performing Arts League, including marching bands, drill teams, dance teams, tumblers, and other gifted performers. The Parade and Festival biggest highlight was the intense competition that took place among the groups in four distinct categories: Drill, Dance, Band, and Cheer. As the competition was fierce, the judges had a daunting task of selecting the finalists from each area. Performing Teams were evaluated based on criteria such as Music, Marching, Spacing, Synchronization, Choreography, Execution, Technique, Equipment Difficulty, Uniforms, Overall Showmanship, Parade Flow, Adherence, and Behavior. The Bud Billiken Parade and Festival remains a powerful source of inspiration for the community, showcasing the incredible talent and passion of the gifted youth performers. We are excited to announce this year’s Bud Billiken Parade Winners in the Categories of Drill, Dance, Band, and Cheer. Congratulations!!!
