Chicago Park District Provides A List of Cooling Centers Among Excessive Heat Watch

With an excessive heat watch in effect starting today and continuing through the weekend, the Chicago Park District is reminding residents and visitors to take extra precautions and to stay informed about weather-related conditions.  The Park District has announced that 36 park locations are available to the public as cooling centers.

The cooling centers will be open under normal park location operating hours, unless otherwise posted.

Operating hours for each cooling center location can be obtained by calling the individual park or visiting https://www.chicagoparkdistrict.com/parks-facilities/cooling-centers.

Chicago’s beaches and pools are open this weekend to provide relief from the heat.  Check www.chicagoparkdistrict.com/beaches for updates on water conditions.
